There are many reasons to retrofit, such as the suppressor has become clogged with debris, baffle damage for out of business brands, eroded baffles from use, or the old silencer is just loud compared to the current technology available. All of these are valid reasons to retrofit your older 9mm suppressor. There are other reasons too, these are just a few that we see regularly.

Our conversions take your silencer and update it so that it has a stainless steel core, optimized for weight efficiency and maximum suppression. Your rebuilt suppressor will have the ability to be taken apart for cleaning, and the stainless core is resistant to multiple cleaning options, so servicing your silencer will be a simple task.

As with all Liberty Suppressors products, we focus on suppression as our highest priority, after safety of course. If a silencer isn’t quiet, it’s not much of a silencer after all. We keep this philosophy with our retrofits, making sure to prioritize efficacy of supprression above ease of production. This is another reason you may want to update your silencer; if it’s made by the original company to be fast to produce more than it is to be quiet, our retrofit may add suppression for you. This makes for an overall more enjoyable and fulfilling shooting experience.

Your silencer may have a direct thread mount, or an integral booster, or it may have some sort of adaptable system. Regardless, when we do our retrofit you will be set up to use the MX family of adapters. This includes our Recoil Boosters, LoPro FBA’s, and much more.

If your silencer follows normal construction types, we will be able retrofit it. Stacked baffles, monocores, aluminum, steel or even titanium do not pose an issue. If we do find a problem, we’ll let you know before doing any work to the silencer, and if any additional charges are needed. Please understand that this is exceedingly rare, and that we have done this work on dozens of silencers before without issue, we just have to have this disclaimer here just in case there is some kind of issue. To date, the only thing that’s an issue is fully welded tubeless designs. We can’t work on them due to the lack of a tube. Lastly, silencers with a diameter at or below 1.25″ will be different, and will need to be quoted individually.
