With so many mounts and adapters being made, it can be difficult to figure out which ones you need, and which silencer to purchase. This guide will break down the specific families of mounts, and the ways they all interact with each other.
These mounts are by far our most popular, and the family with the most options. The OD threads (which interface with the silencer) are 1.180-24, a unique and special thread size for Liberty Suppressors that is close to 1-3/16 x 24.
FBA (Pictured front center) – The Fixed Barrel Adapter is our standard direct thread adapter. It adds less than an inch to the silencer, and in so doing it creates an additional blast chamber. This blast chamber is helpful for more powerful rounds like the .308 family and above.
LoPro FBA (Pictured front left) – The LoPro FBA is a smaller, lighter version of the FBA. Made of aluminum, it weighs only 1.5 oz! This is intended for pistol caliber & subsonic use primarily.
Booster assembly (Pictured front right) – Our Neilsen Device, the Booster Assembly, allows use of semi-automatic pistols with a silencer. The piston (available separately, for users who need multiple firearm host thread options) can reciprocate within the housing, allowing the pistol to cycle.
3-lug mount (Pictured center-left) – The 3-lug mount is made to HK specs and fits over any HK spec 3-lug weapon mount, including our own 3 Lug Weapon Mount.
Sovereign to MX adapter (Pictured center-right) – This adapter allows you to use the LS series of adapters in an MX pattern silencer. This is a great advantage, in that it allows the user to have a much smaller and lighter setup and still keep a detachable silencer on a muzzle brake / flash hider mounting system. For more details about the LS series of mounts, see below.
Verioso A & Verioso B (Pictured rear, left and right) – The Verioso mounts adapt to and from the 1.375-24 thread size, to the MX series. The Verioso-A fits any silencer with the 1.375-24 threads and allows use of the MX family of mounts with that silencer. The Verioso-B does the inverse; threading into a MX pattern silencer and allowing use of the 1.375-24 / IS series mounts. This is a viable option if you have a specific QD mount from a 3rd party manufacturer that you’d like to use with an MX pattern silencer.
The IS series is the family of mounts we are making to fit the now common 1.375-24 thread size. Many manufacturers are using this thread interface, and it’s becoming an industry standard. To accomidate the end user, we are now making the IS series of adapters. Currently we offer a direct thread adapter for our Agent, with more likely to come in the future.
IS direct thread adapter (pictured right) – Our IS series direct thread adapter is a small, handy, and rigid mount. Adding less than 1/4″ to the length of the silencer and weighing 2oz., this mount is shorter, lighter and has less parts than a QD mount.
Originally designed for our Sovereign silencer, the LS series of mounts uses a taper lock to secure the silencer. This taper is self-centering, and provides a large bearing area for torque. The result is a secure, rigid, and simple suppressor mounting system.
We currently offer the following mounts:
LS1 Muzzle brake (Pictured left) – Short and effective, the LS1 is an excellent brake in its own right, even if it wasn’t a suppressor mount. Featuring 24 ports in a radial pattern, it reduces felt recoil significantly without needing to be timed up to the rifle.
LS2 Flash hider (Pictured right) – Exactly the same length and footprint as the LS1, the LS2 focuses on hiding muzzle flash and keeping concussion down. It also features variable length of the slots and tines to keep the resonance ringing down.
LS2 Extended flash hider (Pictured center) – Made exclusively in 1/2-28 for 5.56 rifles, this LS2 variant is made to pin and weld to 14.5″ barrels to bring them up to a 16″ overall length, while still being able to add a silencer.
