Here at Liberty, we think we’ve designed the most versatile 45 ACP suppressor on the market today. Like the Mystic X, the take apart design allows this can to handle 17HMR and other rimfire rounds, all the way to .458 SOCOM. Not to mention, it’s a beauty on 10mm auto! This design was borne from the need for a 45 silencer that needed to be used on an AR15 in 5.56 NATO as well. Due to this spec, the Cosmic was designed from the ground up for use on pistol caliber applications, therefore it is not suitable for the more powerful rifle calibers for which the Mystic X is rated. Using a titanium tube and our new Bi-Directional Baffles in the stainless steel core, the Cosmic is extremely lightweight at only 9.5oz. Also, this suppressor is compatible with all the Mystic X mounting options, offering as much value as it does functionality.
Manufacturers Recommendation: When disassembling a take apart suppressor, if more than hand force is necessary to remove the inner core from the outer tube, please use a semi-soft material such as wood, rubber, or nylon as opposed to harder items like a hammer.
Also note that the full auto ratings are given for reference, if the caliber you are looking for to run in full auto is not on this list, then see if there is a comparable caliber already on the list, if it is there, then you are fine. The point is that this is not a hard use rifle silencer and should be treated like the pistol suppressor that it is.
Note: We’ve recently seen an issue with Ed Brown barrels in .45 ACP where they are threaded slightly too large causing fitment issues with standard .578×28 tpi pistons. 5 JUN2016
Standard calibers. These can be used with any barrel length (unless otherwise specified) that will stabilize the bullet. Calibers marked with a (*) are auto rated.
These calibers are safe to use ONLY when used in conjunction with a standard full sized FBA (or quick detach mount), and when used on a barrel that is 16″ long or longer.
* Must be used with the full size, stainless steel Liberty Suppressors Fixed Barrel Adapter.
*** Not recommended as hearing safe but within acceptable pressure range.
We have added the following calibers with restrictions to the Cosmic Silencer as of 2 APR 2018;
All 308 based cartridges as well as all 30-06 based rounds are acceptable with the use of a full size Fixed Barrel Adapter and a minimum 20″ barrel.
This means rounds like the 243 WIN, 6.5 Creedmoor, 270 WIN, 22-250, and such are rated for use in the Cosmic with the full sized FBA, on a 20″ or longer barrel.
The Cosmic is NOT rated for any of the belted magnums, short magnums, or beltless magnums that are on the market. The muzzle pressure is simply to great for these rounds.
Note: All rifle calibers with chamber pressures exceeding 45,000PSI that are on the caliber list, arerestricted to 16″ barrels or longer. (6.8SPC, 5.56 NATO, and the like FROM THE CALIBER LIST ONLY)
Note 2: It has been found that Monarch brand 124r JHP will separate in the suppressor and cangenerate baffle strikes due to instability in the rounds. Please refrain from using this ammunition in your MysticX suppressors or any other Liberty can at this time. Thank you.
IT HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO OUR ATTENTION THAT TUMBLING IN STAINLESS STEEL PINS CAN DAMAGE THE BOOSTER HOUSING AND CORE OF YOUR TAKE APART SILENCER, PLEASE, IF YOU PLAN TO USE PINS, USE THEM IN A VIBRATORY BOWL STYLE SETUP.

“I think your responsiveness has been world class. I’ve been ill so I haven’t shot my “beefed up Cosmic”, but when I do, I’ll sure let you know. My plan is to use it on my 6.5 Creedmoor first, Let you know how it goes, and try it on some others.
Thanks for keeping in touch.”
Daniel M – Very happy with the Cosmics. Light and they work well on the cmmg 10mm sbrs they are on. Very happy with the set up and pretty sure my customer will be with the same.
